Second home in Sussex?
Are you considering a second home in Sussex? There’s many reasons to do so. It’s a great county with not only a national park, some stunning beaches, bags of history but also an easy commute into London and Gatwick Airport.
Now, here’s the food for thought. If you’re wondering how to make your second home ensures you a good return, consider short letting it. Short letting gives you the flexibility to let the property when you’re not using it, whilst still having access to it through the year at the times you determine. It also offers much better returns than longer 6 month rental options.
Signing up with Bourne Breaks to manage your short letting is easy and means you don’t have to worry about marketing the property, handling bookings or payments or even just having to answer queries from prospective customers. We make it easy for you. OK, so it’s got to be the right property in the right kind of place to be attractive to potential customers but we’re happy to advise and work with you during your search to ensure you find the perfect property.

Natural Retreats – a new idea?!
The big spread in this week’s Sunday Times about Natural Retreats might have you thinking that the idea of fab holiday homes in stunning settings is somehow a groundbreaking idea. It’s not, and we all know it.
It’s amazing what the backing of a celebrity millionaire such as Mark Rockerfeller will do for a brand.
It seems a bizarre idea to build new places in areas of natural beauty when there are in fact already hundreds of places out there offering great quality and customer service that could do with the boost that a multi millionaires backing could offer.
We’re not multi millionaires but in our own way we’re working hard to ensure we offer a great product with exceptional service. We’ve some great places in some outstanding settings – and we’re not having to build them from scratch.
What the starstruck Sunday Times piece does though highlight is the demand for amazing UK holiday homes, something we know quite a lot about. We can’t keep up with demand. We urgently need more holiday homes on our books. If you’ve got one and want to talk to us about working with us, just call or email us at relax@bournebreaks.co.uk!
We look forward to our Sunday Times spread very soon

Tonight sees the return of internationally renowned band Keane to Bexhill. And rightly so.
Having grown up in Battle, just up the road, the band have returned to their roots to kick of their latest world tour with a sell out gig at Bexhill’s stunning De La Warr Pavilion. The BBC met up with the band to find out why they’d chosen to come back to the town and you can see the report here: Keane return to Bexhill
We’ve always known Battle and Bexhill are great places to visit, check out Crathie Cottage and Mead Cottage, two of our great properties in the area and come and visit the De La Warr and Sovereign Light Cafe!

Our new website is live!
Well, after months of design and development work it’s finally here! We hope you like the new look site.
We’ve worked hard to pull out the key features we know you need and to make finding and booking a property as simple as possible. We’ve increased the size of photos on the property pages and have updated all the descriptions and text on the pages to make sure we really are representing each property honestly and accurately.
Here at Bourne Breaks we pride ourselves on the level of customer service we provide and consequently we really want to hear your views on the new site. We would enable the comments on this blog but unfortunately that’ll mean we just get lots of spam blog comments which really aren’t helpful! So why not follow us on twitter and tweet us what you think. We’d LOVE to hear from you. Really, we would.
A special mention must go to Marcus at Sussex IT for all his dedication and hard work to code and build the site and to Gary at ICON Design in Brighton for his clean, crisp and spot on design. We owe you guys many beers.
And now, onwards and upwards. We’ve big plans for the business and would love you all to be part of them.
