It&#8217;s amazing what the backing of a celebrity millionaire such as Mark Rockerfeller will do for a brand.<br />
&nbsp;<br />
It seems a bizarre idea to build new places in areas of natural beauty when there are in fact already hundreds of places out there offering great quality and customer service that could do with the boost that a multi millionaires backing could offer.<br />
&nbsp;<br />
We&#8217;re not multi millionaires but in our own way we&#8217;re working hard to ensure we offer a great product with exceptional service. We&#8217;ve some great places in some outstanding settings &#8211; and we&#8217;re not having to build them from scratch.<br />
&nbsp;<br />
What the starstruck Sunday Times piece does though highlight is the demand for amazing UK holiday homes, something we know quite a lot about. We can&#8217;t keep up with demand. Located on a quiet residential road Columbus Cottage is on two floors and has plenty of space and light. Off the central wooden floored hallway you&#8217;ll find the large triple aspect living room, the downstairs washroom, elegant dining room and fully fitted kitchen. Both the living room and kitchen have doors onto the garden. The kitchen has all the appliances, including dishwasher and washing machine and the full range of equipment and utensils needed to cater for a family on holiday. On the first floor are the three bedrooms, the master having an en-euite shower room as well as built in storage. All linen and towels are provided as part of this great self catering holiday home.<br />

Outside you&#8217;ll find Columbus Cottage has an enclosed garden with both lawned area and a large patio, perfect for soaking up Eastbourne&#8217;s renowned sunshine. Garden furniture is provided, along with a BBQ for those barmy summer evenings. The house also has parking for one car available off road and plenty of parking available on the road.<br />

Not only is it metres from the beach, it is also within 5 minutes walk of Sovereign Harbour which comprises five harbours that together provide over 800 marina berths and make up the UK&#8217;s largest composite marina. The marina is surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops as well as being linked to a large retail park with a large supermarket and a cinema. Within 5 minutes walk you&#8217;ll also find Eastbourne&#8217;s Sovereign Centre leisure complex, perfect for the kids. Eastbourne town centre and many other attractions are within easy reach by car, bus or even by foot (about 30 mins walk) along the town&#8217;s beautiful beachside promenade. </br><br />

<p><i>&#8220;The cottage is amazing, it is enormous. The conservatory really is as nice as the picture – a home from home, and it is away from the hustle and bustle. Garden was large with covered fish pond to keep the kids entertained, supermarkets and restaurants nearby – beach a 5 minute walk. Love the small personal touches, the welcome hamper, the books, games, pictures, kitchen with cookbooks and more utensils than at home. The owners gave us a pleasant welcome and could not have been nicer. It is a gem. Adults and kids will love this place.&#8221;<br />

</br>&#8220;The apartment is absolutely lovely, bright and with a friendly and modern atmosphere. The central heating works extremely well and gets the place warm quickly. It is perfectly situated , with both the bus and train station, the sea, shops and lovely walks within its vicinity. So it is also perfect for visitors who prefer to use public transport. We had a wonderful time there and fantastic weather. Angela made us feel very welcome and it was great to have a few necessities plus some bubbly in the fridge when we arrived. Located just one road away from Eastbourne&#8217;s magnificent seafront this stunning apartment in a period property once owned by The Duke of Devonshire couldn&#8217;t be better placed.<br />

Located on the third floor of the house this apartment is split level and very generous in proportions. On the entrance level you&#8217;ll find the lounge, kitchen and dining areas, along with the twin room. Up the stairs you&#8217;ll find the very spacious master bedroom in the eves of the building and the separate, and again very spacious luxury bathroom complete with a double jacuzzi bath and shower over the bath. The bathroom even has underfloor heating.<br />
